Champions League prediction: Chelsea v. Liverpool

Two of England's powerhouses meet tomorrow at Anfield.

Chelsea and Liverpool.

I think they've met in the Champions League at some point going back to when I was 6.

Anyways, story lines:

1) Stevie G. is fit and will play, good news for you ardent Reds supporters, you know who you are...

2) Drama, thus pressure, surrounds both coaches, Liverpool is fourth as always in the Premiership so a lot is riding on this performance, and Chelsea fans always need something to blame Avram for...

3) Tom Hicks, Liverpool's owner and public enemy #1, will be in attendance, so don't be surprised if an assassination attempt occurs...

4) Everyone's favorite Frank Lampard is ready to go, but the Blues will be without Essien due to suspension. Ouch, that's tough

5) Chelsea has found renewed life in the Premiership season and has a big match with United looming. Will they be ready and focused...?

PREDICTION: Chelsea is overmatched at the start and struggles with possession. The Essien loss is overwhelming. Cech looks rusty in the net. Liverpool wins 3-1!!!

15' -- Torres (un)
50' -- Gerrard (pk)
78' -- Kalou (Ballack)
87' -- Babel (Benayoon)
