Sounders drop season finale, Cascadia Cup

(Rick Morrison for Goal Seattle with the photo, if you couldn't tell)

It was a pretty inconsequential game in the standings, Seattle and Vancouver had already qualified for the playoffs, but the Cascadia Cup was lost.

The Northwest derby might not be around for awhile, so it's sad that the Sounders couldn't hold onto it until then.

But no worries. The USL playoffs are next, and hopefully Montreal -- I think that's there opponent -- will be drained by the CONCACAF Champions League.

Let's close this farewell season in the United Soccer Leagues right.

Oh, Indirect Kick had some postseason Sounders awards:
After the match, the Sounders players were presented with the Kell’s People’s Choice Awards. Recipients included: Kevin Forrest for Rookie of the Season, Sebastien LeToux for Offensive Player of the Season, and Chris Eylander for Defensive Player of the Season as well as the Most Valuable Player.
