Martin O'Neill in line for Three Lions?

The Aston Villa boss is being groomed as the successor for Fabio Capello as coach of the English national team, should the Italian move on.

Seems like a good candidate. He's definitely got his team overachieving.
An FA insider said: “There is no doubt Martin O’Neill’s stock has risen again. He is seen as the preferred candidate to take over from Fabio.”
Capello is under contract through 2012 Euros but could opt out after the 2010 World Cup. So anything that happens could take a while.

But this is what blogs are for right...? Filling up the days with crazy news and rumors.
