The American that sunk the USMNT

God damn Giuseppe Rossi.

The kid from New Jersey buried the U.S. with two well-taken goals (including a masterful equalizer from distance) in a Confederations Cup group-stage win for Italy 3-1 on Monday.

There was also a pretty harsh -- but not entirely unfair -- red card, a PK, a PK that could've been and a unique 10-0-1 formation used by Bob Bradley in the second half.

All in all, disappointing, frustrating and there's not much of consolation prize coming in Brazil.

* * *

Which brings us to our other game, which Brazil won 4-3 on a 90th minute PK by Kaka (his second of the game).

Brazil did well to take a 3-1 lead at halftime, but somehow the African side leveled things in what seemed like 10 seconds.

Egypt looked damn good on the ball and the USMNT will be lucky not to go 0-3-0 it seems now.

Good thing Father's Day will distract me of the action Sunday.
