Confed. Cup roundup

Day two of Group A only further proved how lame some of those four teams are. Iraq decided to play everyone behind the ball in a yawn-inducing 1-0 Spain win (courtesy of a David Villa header) in the early game.

How I stayed awake at 7 a.m. for that one, I'll never know.

Sure the strategy makes sense for Bora, and a solid win against New Zealand on Saturday will probably be enough to get Iraq through -- I just hate watching them play.

On the nightcap (11:30 a.m. start, ha!), South Africa's goat from the first game Bernard Parker turned into the hero with a brace in a 2-0 win.

God, New Zealand's team is bad, isn't it...?
