Gold Cup roundup

Had to catch last night's games on internet streams, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a fun night of soccer.

It was great to see the USMNT second-string put in a solid performance against a short-handed Honduras. The score could've been better than 2-0, but then again Troy Perkins did well to keep a clean sheet.

Kyle Beckerman and Stuart Holden and really impressing me.

But what was really impressive was the second semifinal. A saved PK, a late go-ahead goal by Mexico and then a brilliant equalizer 10 seconds from the finish.

El Tri prevailed in the shootout -- thanks to Ochoa in goal -- to set up what will be a fun finale between the rivalries 'B' teams.

Almost an undercard to the August 12th main event: the World Cup qualifier at Azteca.

Highlights below, courtesy of 101 Great Goals:

USMNT 2, Honduras 0

Mexico 2, Costa Rica 1 (shootout 5-3)

Ridiculous that you can barely get any coverage of this in the states to be fair. You shouldn't have to watch a major tournament in your region on web streams!
