MLS roundup: week 16

For the last couple weeks, Superliga and CONCACAF Champions League action has affected MLS rosters. Now it's the Gold Cup.

But as they say, the show must go on.

Colorado with its second-straight loss might be most affected by the personnel blows. And in case you haven't noticed, the Galaxy -- led by welcome addition Alecko Eskandarian (above) -- has jumped up to a fourth-place tie with the Rapids in the Western Conference.

Houston (thanks to Kei Kamara, right) with a road win extends its lead at the top and, of course, New York continues to struggle. I think the Red Bulls are 0-8-2 in the last 10 games. Ugh.

Not pretty.

Here are the scores:

Friday
Real Salt Lake 1-1 San Jose 'Quakes (A: 17,478)

Saturday
Columbus Crew 1-1 D.C. United (A: 14,370)
Colorado Rapids 1-2 Chicago Fire (A: 19,680)
Kansas City Wiz 0-1 Houston Dynamo (A: 10,385)
FC Dallas 2-1 N.Y. Red Bulls (A: 14,327)
L.A. Galaxy 1-0 N.E. Revolution (A: 20,609)
