MLS power rankings: week 21

Houston and Columbus continues to roll. So strong have these two teams been that you have to say they are the favorites to meet in the MLS Cup in lovely Seattle later this year.

Los Angeles and been on an absolute tear of late (Bruce Arena for coach of the year?) and hosts the Sounders FC in a big, big game this weekend.

The playoff picture is so muddled and cluttered you have to love it. It's the only league I follow that doesn't have mega-superclubs win every year.

Gotta love the parity.

1. (1) Houston Dynamo 11-6-5
2. (2) Columbus Crew 9-3-9
3. (6) L.A. Galaxy 7-3-10
4. (3) Chicago Fire 8-4-8
5. (4) D.C. United 6-4-10
6. (5) Seattle Sounders FC 7-5-8
7. (9) Colorado Rapids 8-6-6
8. (7) Toronto FC 7-7-6
9. (11) Real Salt Lake 7-8-5
10. (10) New England Revolution 6-6-6
