Americans getting hurt

A heart-breaking Sounders FC loss to New England was sad not just as a result. But it might have been the last time Revolution midfielder Steve Ralston took the field.

The league's all-time leader in games and minutes played tore his ACL on Saturday.

At 35 years old, he could be done.

In other injury news, this time in England, it appears as though Jay DeMerit might need surgery after cutting his eye while removing a contact lens. It got infected and has partially blinded him.

And lastly, while you never root for injuries, I'm sure some Sounders FC fans are displeased that D.C. United and ex-Portland Timbers goalkeeper Josh Wicks is out for a while too.
